Ah the Gelatinous cube, the great equalizer of DnD.

Not gonna lie, after all the crap Randulf has put Coleen through so far this run, I've been looking forward to this.

No hero of light or champion of dark can overcome the crushing neutrality and indifference of the Gelatinous Cube.

Preserved in Jello for all time. A true Renaissance man, he is.

I thought G. Cubes were weak to fire? Or at least not resistant to fire.

Also what happened to "I get out of the way"? Randolph, you are slacking, hungover or not.
Crinos 13th Jan 2018, 9:16 PM edit delete reply
Well this one is living under a waterfall, so it probably helped insulate it from fire.

Time to equip the dessert-spoon+5 and the decanter of endless vanilla sauce. Seriously annoying monsters to fight and with all that water around frying it like normally recommended will not be easy.

After thinking a bit about ways to fight a Gelantnous cube, I'd say freezing and then breaking it might work best in a water area.
Though that is not likely something Colleen can conjure and her smashing equipment just got absorbed.
With no magic available maybe feeding it a few bags of corn-starch or flour would make it viscous enough for cutting it a bit easier. Still nothing Colleen has readily at hand there.

All good ideas, but sadly hindsight is 20/20

I remember jello with Mandarin oranges slices in it. I wonder what flavor this GC is.

I always imagined oozes taste salty and bitter.

Nice idea with a Gelatinous Cube, hiding it within pools of water. I just might steal this idea.

It sure worked on my D&D group, I can tell you.
