Actually... that IS better than a bunch of roses and a random 'sorry' card.

Loot drop!

Yeah, I suspect that's Randulf's way of saying "thank you".

In good condition for a wooden object immersed in digestive acid for however-long.

Possibly magic.

The three little words every man has to learn to keep his partner happy are 'I was wrong'. I find that 'buy it then' is also very useful. I think this page is as close as a dwarf is ever going to get to both of these.

The buckler is a good addition. Since her last fight with the floating tantacles heads, she keep tryin to block with it. Instinct or perhaps some leftover of her previous training?

By the way I just read through the whole story and I must say that I am hooked! I really like the characters, the dungeon and the universe you have built in general. I've put this story in my links and I will follow it for sure.

Good luck!

Just wanted to chime in and say nicely done. This whole scene, and this resolution. Well played (and drawn, needless to say).

Thank you! Good story structure is challenging, so I'm glad people think it worked out well.

Oh-ho! Somebody's got better observational skills than he's been letting on. Shame he keeps carelessly walking into trouble, but when he's paying attention, it seems he's pretty darn good at noticing little things.
