And that's it for chapter 3! Thanks to everyone who read and supported Marblegate thus far!

If you've been following my Patreon, then you already know that things have been extremely busy for me with work, and I've been having a tough time finishing 2 pages a week the last 2 months.
I'll release the cover for chapter 4 this Saturday, along with as official statement on the state of things.

But to make a long story short, I need to take a short break to catch up on work, and depending on how things go, I may have to slow down the rate in which pages are uploaded from 2 a week to one every 4-5 days.
At least for chapter 4.

But we'll see! Thanks for the support, and have a good week!

So not all monsters are evil they are just misunderstood. Why just the other day some monster misunderstood my cars radio. See misunderstandings.

I love that we get to see what the poor Monster wanted. Adding character to Monsters is a great touch.

Exactly! Just because he looks, feels, sounds, smells, and probably tastes like a big warthog doesn't mean you need to treat him like one!

The most adorable abomination.

Also, nice to see the dwarf have manners. Begrudgingly, but you gotta start somewhere. This might just be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

Or he gets eaten by a troll next issue. It's a dungeon. You can never be sure.

Who says he hasn't already been eaten by a troll once before :P

The big book of interspecies ettiqutte - or how to not start a war by saying 'Hello'.

"A well of wisdom to avoid the most common blunders." Foot-in-mouth, Goblin chieftain

"When we come to conquer you, you will know it - finally." Jitri-Dr'Illza, Drow priestess

"Learned how to instantly insult and provoke more than 50 species, great read!" Eris, Goddess of Chaos

And the dungeon knowing what the adventurers want or need is more creepy thn most of the monsters. It is like it is baiting them deeper in.
padanew 9th Feb 2018, 4:32 AM edit delete reply
The dungeon purpose may be something beyond the need to kill adventure. The dungeon could have several reasons for exist or none at all. Also, what is magic but will expressed. She needed a shield so one was provided. Time will tell.

So, did Velxir call it or is this one of the cases where reader comments managed to influence the comic?
Rocktopus 6th Feb 2018, 7:34 PM edit delete reply
This chapter was written long before the first page of it was even up.
Velxir may want to look into tarot-reading.

Yas! I had a feeling it was a lion with a thorn in it's paw moment :)

Or maybe I am just an Otyugh with internet access? :P

Great ending to chapter 3! I am glad Colleen and Randulf are growing a bit more and getting along better now!

What's the wifi like in a dungeon?

Also, thank you!

Great location, good schools, low taxes, but no good internet service . . .well we just keep looking for a better place to live.

Hmm, most games I play require a lot more grinding to get something I want.

And that's a real good surprise ending :)
Zimriel 7th Feb 2018, 12:23 AM edit delete reply
That's what monsters have to learn... before grinding or licking, get consent first.

Nice Dr Spider. Hopehe can write in common if he cannot speak it.
Rocktopus 7th Feb 2018, 5:47 AM edit delete reply
Dr. Harpoon Spider sounds like a pretty good NES game.
Auraknight 7th Feb 2018, 7:36 AM edit delete reply
This is gonna come back to bite them when they meet that spider later.

Wouldnt be better to have a spike on that buckler. Sure it wouldnt be a buckler anymore it would be a targe but still atleast she one more tool to bludgeon someone.

Scary! A mind reading dungeon is really flippin scary. I guess this is how it recognize anyone who come into the Dungeon and maybe it's link into the Dungeon goals?

Collene need more armor like knee, elbow and shoulders pads. She would still be in the light armor class but at least she would be able to take more hits or fall more safety. May the dungeon provide!

The monsters moment at the end was funny and insightfull!

Can't wait for chapter 4, and I hope we will see a bit more of how is the life in town. The dungeon is fun but the place where the adventurers rest, train and prepare is equally interesting for me.

That last panel actually made me laugh out loud. I mean, sure there's the implication that the monsters here are sapient and that makes the story even more wonderfully complex, but that exchange was just pricelessly funny.
Rocktopus 18th Feb 2018, 9:41 PM edit delete reply
Thank you! Monsters must be doing something when there's no adventurers kicking in their doors :)

This is what happens when you assume the person you wish to speak to understands the language you speak in.
