EDIT:
Holy smokes, so, last Friday, my 6 year old computer completely fried. I just spent the last 4 days getting a new one, building it, reinstalling everything, transferring files, troubleshooting, on the phone with tech support, and FINALLY, everything is done. I'm back to making pages, but unfortunately, thanks to the 4 straight days of having no working drawing device, I haven't been able to work on Marblegate. So, unfortunately, the next page will be delayed.

But I'm back to working again! And with a brand new computer!

I lost this page a few weeks ago to a power outage, so I wound up having to redo it.

Pardon if it looks a bit choppy.

Looks like they really aren't getting by this room without a fight after all.

Y'know what would be cooler? If the barbarian had angry eyes like the eternally-angry rabbit from Usavich... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dMq9XEjVJmA

All right, everyone, roll for initiative!

(Or if you play the Hero System... "phase 12!"

I bet they won't survive this Room without losing somebody to the Froblins.

As long as it isn't Ozzi, Ox, or Marigold, I'm okay with it.

They may be a bigger danger to themselves than the monsters

Pretty sure it's going to be a party wipe, with the exception of Ozzi, followed by him joining team Drunk and Holy.

So the magnificently maned marauder is a berserker? I got kind of a gladiator vibe from him but now that I think of it I don't have a clue why.

Also the little *flip* sound effect for unleashing the attack frog (of doom?) is hilarious and I love it.

Yup. Ox is a berserker.

And "attack frog" is a lot scarier if you've ever played Spyro the Dragon.

When they flip the cage and release the attack frog, you KNOW it's getting REAL! I mean froblins are only a danger in fantasy worlds, but attack frogs are a danger in EVERY WORLD! ESPECIALLY OUR OWN!

Now we get to see what people are made of!

Oh wait. I don't need to actually SEE that!

We may yet literally get to see what they are made of if this encounter goes poor enough

If they fight together as a team they may get out alive with a winning fight. But now the froblins have the initiative. I will also bet that those froblins are not stupid or pushovers. Small weak creatures are easy picking but well organized small weak creature can be a nightmare WHEN THEY WORK TOGETHER. I think the dungeon is a training ground for teaching how to become better fighters. More on this later.

This makes me evn more curious, how their first excursion into the dungeon went.
I'm still holding to my prediction that the fighter Marigold has the worst chances to survive the upcoming battle.
Full armor may be nice in normal combat but should she fall into the sewage, she will be pulled down by it. And the footing there is wooden planks that were constructed by and for Froblins maybe half an unarmored human's weight. Not even counting in whatever surprise 'friend' of the Froblins is lurking in the water.

What made the page for me is the Chief Froblin fliping the cage in the air because he is so pissed. Is it a 'Flip the Table' meme reference?

Well, shit may be about to hit the fan, and since the froblins seem to have a surprise (or more) in store, it may end very poorly for the party. On the other hand, they do seem to have skilled people, if not good at team work, wisdom, or cunning.

I wonder if Ox will take down many with him in his berserker rage, but end up succumbing to (arrow) wounds. Marigold might drown (like Frederick Barbarossa supposedly did), become overwhelmed by numbers, taken down by some exploitative attack, or by non-froblins - I don't see her being taken down in direct combat against the froblins, unless they jump at her and knock her down. Both Alexus and Sera are vulnerable to, well, most attacks, such as attacks from the side or the rear or ranged attacks. And they would likely have little choice but to try to flee if the melee fighters fall. Ozzi's remote position may end up dooming or saving him, especially if the battle goes especially bad.

I think they might do well if Marigold stays in front and takes the brunt of the attacks, given her excellent armor and shield, with Ox staying back and berserk-attacking if any "fun" stuff or surprises show up, or some other things go wrong. During that berserker-attack, the others would hopefully be able to get Marigold out of trouble and up and fighting again during the berserker's attack, using the alchemist's healing potions. If things go really FUBAR, they might want to try to retreat, possibly a fighting retreat if the froblins or other enemies are too quick. But that might leave not just Ozzi, but others behind. And if they do end up fleeing (or dead), hopefully Ozzi is good at hiding (how good are the sense of smell of the froblins and their allies? They might still be able to smell despite being in sewers). The extremely poor awareness of froblins might help save him there.

A number of retreat plans prepared or thought about in advance might have been helpful, for instance a well-thrown vial of smoke or noxious gas from the alchemist could do well in covering a retreat.

You ever see the Isle of Lewis chess set? A couple of the pieces (the rooks) are these guys biting the tops of their shields who are generally interpreted to be representing berserkers - they're cool pieces. If you ever go the Irish route for a berserker you could have a lot of fun drawing the "warp spasm" they were said to go through before battle; read an excerpt from The Tain about Cuchulainn's warp spasm, it's hilarious.
