When I first went to Spain, me and my friends attended this music festival. About half way through, we all got a shock. It was a whole ARMY of band marchers wearing what we recognized as klu klux klan hats/masks/uniforms. But it turns out it's actually a real traditional religious garment that had been around for centuries.
That's what first came to mind when I saw those guys in the last few panels. No, they are NOT affiliated with the KKK.
Yup. Catholic Spanish Penitents have been around for almost 1000 years now. The American Klu Klux Klan has been around for less than 100. And the Klan actually hate Catholics, ironically.
A grovelling apology from Ozwald would have been better, but at least it wasn’t ‘Hey babe, if I’d known you were here you could have healed me up for free!’
Also don't forget she traveled a long distance just to come and dive into a deadly dungeon just because he asked her. P.S. about how far did she travel?
It's doubtful she came to Marblegate just because he asked her. When dumped, she complains of not getting into Marblegate, not that he was passing up a chance to get into her. And her actions are to find another way in, even tho there was no chance to see him that way. Of course, she may have more than one motive, but her primary initial motive seems to be Marblegate.
A possible background is that our lad was trying to recruit a group, and deemed a cleric a prime need. However, beyond his telling her of the riches involved, she may have taken the initiative and asked to join.
I think you are right about that. Though, I believe she very much wanted and thought she would go with a trusted friend in a group of capable people - or, rather, someone she thought she could trust. And the trip might well gave been something of an investment, so quitting might have been problematic - so much that she was willing to risk her life in the dungeon with a single unreliable and unknown party member (though experienced, capable and having survived for many years).
But she was also naive, and the others decided they either could not or would not afford waiting after she failed to arrive at the time that they agreed upon. And when Ozzy had a choice, he preferred the (seemingly) safe choice of the experienced party over her, late and inexperienced. Likely (very) much at stake for him as well.
Yeah... don't just hear her words, you gotta "hear" her facial expressions and tone of voice too. They often override the literal meaning of her words. Something I learned the hard way. :-P
They must worship the same gods, to run into each other at the same temple. They'll always have that in common! Also with those two weirdos with the pointy red hats...
There's actually a temple in the town to the other gods.
But the kingdom of Sword Court worships only the Highfather. And since Marblagate is technically on Sword Court's land, they got to demand the building of a special church dedicated only to their god as part of the pact that keeps the nations from warring over the Gate.
Ouch, yeah! Next time, it's going to be the kind of fight where, metaphorically speaking, she stabs a wickedly-shaped dagger into your heart and twist it all around with every turn of phrase.

She said everything is fine. To crossed women, that's a war cry!
"Everything is fine. Nothing Is Wrong! [ps. You are sleeping on the couch.]"

...
...they're going to have a worse fight later on, I just know it.
Colleen: Highfather grant me patience so I don't murder that fool.
