Definitely not. That's clearly a red herring...about as red as the penitents' hats.
Rocktopus 11th Sep 2018, 4:54 AM edit delete reply
a transparent herring?
pkrankow 10th Sep 2018, 2:47 AM edit delete reply
Optional side quest?
Nah. I doubt it.
Rocktopus 11th Sep 2018, 4:43 AM edit delete reply
No sidequests on this adventure! We're 100% story missions here at Marblegate!
pkrankow 11th Sep 2018, 10:16 PM edit delete reply
I knew this would be a mandatory quest that is not in the dungeon! The remaining questions include
When (soon I bet, before Colleen's next foray below is my best guess.)
Why (access to some non-trivial resource is my guess, but I don't know what.)
There are other questions I am sure.
padanew 10th Sep 2018, 4:34 AM edit delete reply
There is always some weird stuff going on in your town. If you are not aware of it that is great. That means your a decent person who does not get involved or know about it.
Rocktopus 11th Sep 2018, 4:53 AM edit delete reply
Yup; person who tries to fix everyone's problems in a town or city is usually not called a hero in the history books; they're called a dictator.
yetanotherguy 12th Sep 2018, 9:06 PM edit delete reply
In some legends, the dictator is the hero: . Though that is also used as an example of a dictator that according to the legend did not abuse his authority, promptly giving up his authority once his assigned task was done.

Colleen is only here for the loot, not for any side quest.

But...there is loot to be had in side questing.

Could Colleen be a gold farmer?
Rocktopus 11th Sep 2018, 4:49 AM edit delete reply
I think that's called a "miner"
Rudofaux 13th Sep 2018, 5:17 AM edit delete reply

Last panel is great.whatever it is noticed her.
Rudofaux 10th Sep 2018, 5:20 PM edit delete reply
It knows.
Rocktopus 11th Sep 2018, 4:46 AM edit delete reply
Now hopefully senpai will notice it.

Eyeballing the last two panes, the bushes in the top left are outlined in black in the last panel. The center of the main stain glass window turns from white to grey. Anything else?
Lurker 10th Sep 2018, 7:16 PM edit delete reply
I'm not seeing anything different about the bushes... but the stained glass window definitely changed. Which is significant, since, if I read it right, it's where the mysterious staircase led, which means the effect may be caused by the phantom or whatever it is that lives up there.

Definitely a future side quest. I vote for future side quests!
Lurker 10th Sep 2018, 7:18 PM edit delete reply
P.S. Just noticed that the stained glass window not only dimmed, but a pair of tiny white dots have appeared above the dimmed part. Definitely the thing that's haunting the place, I'm sure.

Now given the amount we pay, we can hardly demand precise artwork and so any conclusions based on it should be tentative. Still...
Rocktopus 12th Sep 2018, 6:09 PM edit delete reply
Wow, does it really look that unclear?
I'll see what I can do
Rocktopus 13th Sep 2018, 12:14 AM edit delete reply
Editted it a bit. Hopefully it's clearer.
Lurker 13th Sep 2018, 4:48 PM edit delete reply
Oooh, *much* clearer now!
Guanabana 11th Sep 2018, 12:15 AM edit delete reply

I now Remember This cause of the Penitents... :D

I get a lot of comments about Diskworld... I should probably look it up some time.
padanew 11th Sep 2018, 3:29 PM edit delete reply
Yes, you should it is one of the best comedy fantasy series ever written. Start with the color of magic.
Guanabana 11th Sep 2018, 3:35 PM edit delete reply
Is realy Fun but be careful it crawls in your head some times... The audio Books are in Youtube...

But the Color of Magic AKA: the fist one, is missing some parts...

There are sagas...and most of them can be read in any order... most of them... So Start With Death Series... most of them are in youtube... so y may say start with Mort
Guanabana 11th Sep 2018, 5:53 PM edit delete reply
Do as Padanew Say
Andrew_C 11th Sep 2018, 9:54 PM edit delete reply
Not really necessary, the good think about the Discworld series is that you can dive in almost anywhere. But good places to start are Guards! Guards!, Wyrd Sisters or perhaps Small Gods.
Product Placement 11th Sep 2018, 7:36 PM edit delete reply
Product Placement
Color of Magic is the first book in the series. Some people prefer the later work of Terry Pratchett but I always like starting from the beginning.

You can see the full list of books over here.

Maybe that Ghost is all the Concept art that I might get instead of the one with the Hippie Giant when I vote but never see.

I'm not bitter I swear. ;)

Working on more, but it's hard to find time when I work 10-12 hours a day and also have to put in at least 5 hours a day to keep the comic updating regularly!

I'll add some new incentive soon, but it will likely be the most recent patreon reward art (the mermaid one). That one will get replaced with something new that I will finish when I get some free time

Thanks for your pledge on Patreon, by the way!
