Hey guys! It's been a stressful week, but we're still here! I haven't had time to respond to the comments lately, but I do read them, don't worry!
Marblegate is going through a bit of changes right now. It's a long story that I won't get into, but don't worry, it's not going anywhere.

Here a better question to ask. Why is a noble female knight risking life and limb for just a little money? I really don't think she is stealing anything.
Rocktopus, in case you would like the Patreon link, vote-on-Topwebcomics link, etc. in the headbar to have images instead of text, I have some suggestions in case you won't mind:
1: Create a temporary ComicFury account & site (with a unique and long site name, like "temporary20200208investigateheadbarimagelinks42314") to experiment with and see if you can get things working, fully separate from everything else (there are temporary email accounts online if necessary for creating the temporary ComicFury account, and for semi-temporary/alternate ones, mail.com is decent in my experience).
2: Reset the temporary site if possible, and then figure out the minimal and most isolated changes necessary to have images instead of text for the links in the headbar. And maybe note your changes down. This way, the changes you make to the actual site will be limited in scope.
3: Look into ComicFury back-up possibilities, including in the experiment site, there might be some easy options.
4: If you can get it working as you'd like, find a time slot that both enables upgrading as well as reverting in case anything goes wrong.
5: In the time slot:
5.1: Ensure you have local copies of all images on your hard disk (you should have this in any case, preferably on more than one physical medium, and maybe with cloud storage as well, just to be on the safe side).
5.2: Ensure you have local copies of all relevant ComicFury editable source text parts and settings on your hard disk.
5.3: Perform the upgrade.
5.4: Check if everything is OK. If yes, 👍. If no, repair or revert any relevant parts, starting with the ComicFury text parts and settings. In the worst-case, you still have the images backed up, which are the most important parts.
6: Delete the temporary site as a nicety to ComicFury (and of course only the temporary site).
Of course, this might well be way overkill reg. taking precautions, but it should be a safe approach to changes. Even if you don't do the change, a temporary site on a temporary ComicFury account will enable you to safely learn and experiment with things.
Thank you for the suggestion! I'll look into it, but far as I can tell, there's no way to change the navigation bar at the top with the system I'm using.
I am looking into making a comic press version of the site some day, once comicfury no longer suits the sites needs.
I have just tried it out, and it took a little bit of time to figure out, but it seems like it can be done:

Another thought I have is that I think some basic ads without sound would be OK, though ComicFury does not support that as such. Wordpress should be able to support it, I believe. Especially considering Topwebcomics has tons of ads even on the voting pages.

You are probably right, and I definitely agree with you that the layout is nice as it currently is, in part because the header links should likely draw relatively little attention compared to the comic itself below. The main reason I wonder whether it might be good to change them is that the image links in the comments are present in all the recent comics, but the first many pages do not have them, and that makes it a bit less consistent. Though nothing major, of course. In theory, I wonder whether the previous comments could be edited to include them, but that seems like far too much work for too little gain. Then there are the existing images, so changing it might still not be a good idea, since it then might be a bit duplicated for some pages.
I put for some reason a 14-days expiration on the original pastebin-paste, so I have made a copy pastebin-paste without an expiration date here: https://pastebin.com/HXf6MaLD .
for what little it's worth, I prefer the way it's set up now with the graphical links in the 'author notes' frame and the text links at the top. it looks very neat and well organized that way, but the links still get your attention. That, and less time spent fixing what doesn't need fixed means more time for drawing comics ;)

On the opposite, the Rogue Ozzie is quite mindful of his teammates. Or maybe he just don't want to rock the boat.

Second time thru I caught that it was ComicFURY. Yeah, OK... that would work.
