You could try organized play. Almost every game store that sells D&D stuff has weekly or monthly D&D sessions open to customers.
Go to the nearest game store in your area and ask if they run, D&D Adventures League, Pathfinder society, or any other kind. It's much more fun to play with people you know, but this would be a great way to meet other people and maybe get a group together.
