Some people were commenting on previous pages that there was no way that that dart trap was that simple and that there must be some other trick to it.
I didn't have the heart to tell them that I actually didn't even think to do that.

Ah I'm all caught up. What a fun comic. It flowed so nicely in a straight read. I can't wait to see what they encounter next.

Welcome aboard m8. I won't disappoint.

Bah. The pot probably had filler in it so they only got a handful of coins. In any case it was just a pot of some gold.
Rocktopus 27th Jun 2017, 9:36 PM edit delete reply
Now THAT would be a cruel trap
pkrankow 1st Jul 2017, 2:00 AM edit delete reply
Dirt, sand, a rock or block of wood with dubious value covered by a few coins? Yea. Been done to me. Relatively minor trap offers low rewards.

Or was reset as a "prank" by a previous group...

Isn't the secret door right in front of them on that rectangular patch of brick wall with the skull lamp? Of course, there could be something hiding behind that, given the previous page...

Maybe, we'll see what they find :)

Now I ask you, what dungeon would be complete without a secret entrance? Discovering those hidden passages is half the fun.
Rocktopus 29th Jun 2017, 5:14 PM edit delete reply
I could make a whole megadungeon with the secret rooms my players have missed throughout our games.

Nice strip!
I hope the other group runs into trouble and they merge so to add others and conflict with our heros saving their necks and change happening.

No spoilers, but...
I promise you WILL see the other group quite a bit more before the end :)
woohooligan 28th Jun 2017, 6:03 PM edit delete reply
All rules are first rules, duh! Also, the secret passage is always hidden in the last room, I mean, who's tricky enough to hide it anywhere else? :P
Rocktopus 29th Jun 2017, 5:13 PM edit delete reply
"around" as in "around the floor" not "around the room"
But when has randulf ever shown to be concise in speech?
David Argall 29th Jun 2017, 6:50 AM edit delete reply
Let's see... The exit is a mouse hole. The way to shrink is on the far side of the room, which means a long, and dangerous, journey to get back to the exit...
Rocktopus 29th Jun 2017, 5:11 PM edit delete reply
There actually is a mouse hole somewhere in the dungeon if you look on page 2-1.

Good luck finding it.

Top middle, just above and to the left of the barrels. ;)

The Party Is Goung to Eventualy Grow? or The Tale is Only About This Two?
Rocktopus 29th Jun 2017, 6:11 PM edit delete reply
There will be other characters in the story, but as for whether they will join the group or not, well.. no spoilers, sorry!

Oh, man the three sets of feet, the wondrous new room, the rainbow.
This is getting exciting!
chris-tar 17th Jan 2019, 1:20 AM edit delete reply
I see that this room correlates with the map of the dungeon you opened the chapter with. I guess that means we could trace the path these two have taken to get to this point based on the rooms they were in previously. Cool.
chris-tar 17th Jan 2019, 1:24 AM edit delete reply
I was correct. That means they have yet to encounter a giant spider, a glowing blue well, a slime pit, and a sleeping frog-like monster, and a tunnel with a rope leading downwards amongst other things...very cool,. Marblegate is literally a "Dungeon Crawl". Excellent.
