Hey guys! Some people have been messaging me and asking if I had a patreon. I don't, but I've been thinking about getting one.

I don't know what kind of rewards I could offer, though. I don't want to give things that take work time away from my comic, so I'm not sure what to offer. Any suggestions?

You could use the money to help pay the bills then make more comics every week. That would be a great reward!

That's the goal. I'd love to work on Marlbegate full-time.

ummm rewards... extra art, ask the characters, side character mini stories, backgrounds, icons
Rocktopus 18th Jul 2017, 1:16 AM edit delete reply
Not bad ideas, though I'm going to try and avoid rewards that take away from time spent drawing the actual comic.

¿svirfneblin?¿Mutant Red Cap? ¿Some new creep?

You're on the right track with "creep"

Hahahaha yes, another Fiend Folio reader.

Always did wish there had been a proper adventure for them Dark Folk. The drow got the Vault and the duergar got Firestorm Peak... aboleth got Night Below... but if there was ever a classic Dark Folk module, I missed it.

You could do a lifestream maybe where you chat with your readers, while you work on your comic.
Rocktopus 21st Jul 2017, 1:32 PM edit delete reply
That's a good idea actually.

Um Guards! Guards! reference?
Rocktopus 22nd Jul 2017, 8:18 PM edit delete reply
Haven't heard of that before, I'm afraid.

Terry Pratchett had three main series of novels, one of which was The Streets of Ankh-Morpork series (Guards! Guards!, Men At Arms, Feet of Clay, and many more) which follows the adventures of that fine body of men the Ankh-Morpork Night Watch. Dead serious, read 'em.

Slowly reading through your archive
(1 page a day, so I can savor it)
and just want to post something to say that this may be my favorite page so far (and they are all quite good).
Her subtle blush is exquisite, and the expectant skellies supporting the false floor made me lol. Cheers!

Thanks! The art gets better as pages go on!

I love this bad guys here!
They remind me of the three spies from Gulliver's Travels (the 1939 animated movie, that is)
Rocktopus 4th Nov 2018, 11:30 PM edit delete reply
Ya they kinda do look like that, don't they?

Sport? What about for Food?!
Darkening 29th Jul 2019, 7:16 AM edit delete reply
Doesn't really cover the torment aspect of it, and if they relied on adventurers for food, I highly doubt they'd get enough meals to stay alive.
