clearly alcohol-related headaches pose far more dangers than are generally talked about. if you know someone who has alcohol-related headaches, make sure they're properly armed.

Getting weapons into the hands of angry drunks is a cause I can get behind!

Fairies, my fanny! Those are mutant termites!

Let's hope they just eat wood, like termites.

If D&D has taught me anything, it's that attacking swarms of tiny things with swords is usually not the best strategy.

Nice little detail that they have no eyes like a cave-fish version of fairies. Maybe those hisses work as a form of sonar?
Don't they have a sense of smell though, either?
Their magic might replace a few senses.
The locked gate may not have been there to lock the cave-fairies in though, they look small enough to pass through the openongs with ease. So does that mean the tree is their weak spot and adventurers were supposed to be kept away from it? But then the key is easily visible and on the wrong side ^^'.
Still looks like a custom made Randulf-trap.

The locked gate and lack of a roof does seem to suggest that it was not designed to keep them in...

So, how exactly did this guy last 35 years in this dungeon? This is like the third time where it's up to Colleen to save his bacon.
Rocktopus 29th Oct 2017, 5:27 PM edit delete reply
That's a good question; he does seem quite inattentive...

Ranulf had more fire in his veins in earlier years. Now he's apathetic, just barely getting by, wondering what the meaning of life is.
kyrtuck 30th Oct 2017, 4:11 PM edit delete reply
Ranulf has built-up immunity to carnivorous faires. Only noobs need to worry :D

Not corrals, but prison cells... where did Randulf get a key?
